Our Verdict

After acquiring a standard VPS plan from Linode and subjecting it to our rigorous automated benchmark suite over 7 days, we have compiled our findings. The instance provided consistent CPU performance and low I/O wait times.

Note: We performed these tests anonymously to ensure the provider didn't place us on a reserved, high-performance node.

Performance Benchmarks

Below are the results of our synthetic benchmarks running sysbench and dd tests.

Network port speed tested using standard speedtest-cli to major global datacenters.

• Download: ~940 Mbps (1 Gbps port)
• Upload: ~890 Mbps
• Latency to US-East: 12ms

Support Quality

We opened a technical ticket asking for assistance with a custom OS kernel modification. Support replied in 15 minutes, which is well above industry standard.
